Did you know that Botox is the #1 cosmetic treatment in the US? The simple reason for this is that it works very well for nearly everyone. Botox is mainly used to treat “dynamic wrinkles,” which are lines created by the movement of muscles. It can also be used to add an arch to eyebrows, ease lines around the mouth, and lift the corners of the mouth.
The most common areas where Botox is used are:
When you visit Rose Hill MedSpa for Botox for the first time, we will always have you come back for a 2-week follow up to ensure you have achieved the best results possible.
It is a non-invasive light treatment that can be customized for different skin tones and aging skin conditions.

If you want an injectable wrinkle filler that provides lasting wrinkle correction, ask your Licensed Provider about Bellafill. If you have used Hyaluronic Acid wrinkle fillers in the past, you know that they are eventually absorbed by your body. Bellafill is different from HA injectable wrinkle fillers. The unique microspheres in Bellafill are not absorbed by the body and create a microscopic ‘matrix’ to support your body’s own natural collagen* and ultimately strengthen the layers that support the skin.
Bellafill is an injectable filler for the correction of wrinkles known as smile lines. It contains 20% tiny, round, non-resorbable, smooth particles (PMMA microspheres); and 80% purified bovine collagen gel with 0.3% lidocaine, an anesthetic.
Do you want a lasting filler?
Wrinkle correction with Bellafill improves over the course of several months. 90% of Bellafill patients are satisfied with their lasting wrinkle correction.
Do you want a filler that feels natural?
Bellafill is made with microsphere-enhanced collagen. Over time the collagen is absorbed and the microspheres create a microscopic ‘matrix’ to support your body’s own natural collagen* and ultimately strengthen the layers that support the skin.
Treatment with Bellafill is very similar to treatment with conventional injectable fillers. The main difference is that Bellafill requires a skin test to identify those patients who may have an allergy to bovine collagen or lidocaine. Lidocaine is provided to minimize discomfort during injection.
First Appointment: Your skin test. A small amount of purified bovine collagen gel is injected into the forearm to ensure you have no adverse reactions to bovine collagen or lidocaine.
Second appointment: Four weeks later, if there have been no adverse reactions to the initial test, you are ready for treatment. Upon injection, you will usually see an immediate improvement in lines and wrinkles. The amount of Bellafill required will depend on the severity of the lines/wrinkles being addressed.
Third appointment: A follow-up is suggested at 4-6 weeks. This also allows you to decide if you would like to further enhance or correct the area.
Enjoy a refreshed look that can last
Bellafill contains lidocaine to lessen the discomfort from the procedure. With proper placement, Bellafill cannot be felt after treatment. You may see immediate results in wrinkle correction and can return to your normal daily activities after the procedure. As with any injectable filler, you may experience temporary pain, swelling, and reddening at the treatment site. These side effects are usually gone within a few days.
Occasionally, there is transient bruising that typically disappears within seven days. Less common side effects include rash and itching more than 48 hours after treatment, persistent swelling or redness, and increased sensitivity at injection sites. Two other rare potential side effects of all fillers may be lumps and granulomas, both of which may be treated by your Licensed Provider.
Be sure to contact your Licensed Provider immediately if you notice any unusual skin reactions around the treatment area.

Here at Rose Hill MedSpa, we offer an array of innovative beauty treatments and procedures that rejuvenate the body and enhance self-esteem. Located in Sioux City, Iowa, Dr. Mark Carlson and his professional staff provide safe and effective treatment options at an affordable cost to both men and women alike. Patients looking to improve their confidence by reducing their body fat can depend on our popular body contouring procedure, I-Lipo.
Body Contouring With I-Lipo
I-Lipo is an alternative approach to body contouring that uses a non-invasive technique to achieve outstanding results. Unlike traditional liposuction, which requires a lengthy healing period, I-Lipo transforms the body without needing painful incisions. The procedure allows us to sculpt and refine fatty regions of the body that can’t be easily improved through diet and exercise alone.
How Does The Procedure Work?
Using a specialized laser, that targets a fat cell’s triglycerides, body fat is broken down into free fatty acids and glycerol, which the body can then naturally expel. This process allows a patient to transform their appearance by targeting troublesome regions that tend to store excessive fat. By focusing on specific areas of the body, such as the buttocks, thighs, or love handles, patients can improve their appearance quickly, safely, and effectively.
Why Rose Hill Med Spa Is The Right Choice
Our innovative body contouring procedures can target troublesome areas, often prone to fat storage, and are ideal for both men and women. If you’re searching for ways to improve your appearance without taking drastic measures, Rose Hill Med Spa is here and ready to help.
We have many different types of medical-grade chemical peels, and they can be customized to suit your individual needs. Chemical peels can produce powerful results with minimal discomfort and downtime. They are great for treating acne, hyperpigmentation, fine lines, and uneven skin tone. Some of us spent our youth faithfully applying sunscreen every day, never going to sleep without removing our makeup, and avoiding any sort of activities that might produce scars. But for those of us who spent our youth in the real world, our skin may show signs of sun damage as early as our thirties. Correcting any damaging processes can help make your skin look slightly better. Still, if you have acne scars or sun damage, you may need to go a little deeper than a department store product can take you.
Chemical peels go beyond the top layers of your skin to erase long-established signs of damage. Your doctor will help you determine the strength of the peel that is best for your needs. The mildest form of peel uses glycolic acid. This has the advantage of a quick recovery time, but the effects may be too subtle if you have moderate scarring or sun damage. Stronger peels include trichloroacetic peels and phenol peels. Phenol peels require the longest recovery time and are generally reserved for the most severe damage.
If you’re hoping to look better for a wedding or vacation in a few weeks, a glycolic peel is your best bet. If you want to undo years of sun damage in a few months, phenol peels might be for you. Your doctor will ask about your medical history, including any medications you are currently taking. Please include any herbal supplements or vitamins when discussing current medications. You may be prescribed medications to help prevent infection. If you are having a stronger peel, you may also have pain medication during or after your peel. You may need someone to drive you home after a chemical peel, especially if you have had pain medication. Your skin will be thoroughly cleaned before the peel chemical is applied.
This process will go faster if you wear no makeup to your appointment. You may feel a burning sensation for several minutes. For the milder peels, the chemical may be washed off with water. For stronger peels, your skin may be covered with bandages to shield the more delicate layers of skin that were exposed. Over the next few days, your skin will do the remainder of the work.
Depending on the strength of the peel, you may look as if you have a severe sunburn anywhere from three days to two weeks. Stronger peels may also produce blistering. You will have after-care instructions that include advice about sun exposure, cautions against picking at scabbed skin, and instructions on using any prescribed lotions or creams. After your skin heals, use sunscreen regularly, and if you normally wear makeup, ask your doctor when you can resume wearing it.
Chemical peels can serve as a sort of time machine for your skin, reversing sun damage, erasing wrinkles and scars. They reveal smoother, softer, and more evenly toned skin. They aren’t ideal for every possible sort of damage, but peels are a low-risk way to turn back the clock.

For the woman who keeps herself healthy and has an on-the-go lifestyle, Rose Hill MedSpa offers multiple possibilities for health and beauty, including, but not limited to, permanent makeup.
What is Permanent Makeup?
Also called micro pigmentation, permanent makeup allows women to focus more on their healthy lifestyles by alleviating the daily stress and time involved in applying makeup. The most common form of permanent makeup is eyeliner; however, the latest FDA-approved service offers permanent styles for eyebrows, lips, cheeks, and eyelids.
How does it work?
Needles place pigmented granules beneath the dermis, the upper layer of the skin. This practice allows women with busy lifestyles to work out, sleep, shower, and work without makeup smudges or constant reapplications.
SkinPen is the safest, most effective vertical microneedling device that offers state-of-the-art skin rejuvenating technology. SkinPen stimulates the natural production of new collagen and elastin by creating hundreds of vertical microscopic channels in the dermis.
The SkinPen Difference
Traditional microneedling dermarollers can bend, break, or even rust. As a result, infection or scarring may occur with reuse. SkinPen is different. Through an optimized micro-channel creation, SkinPen uses straight needles to penetrate at a 90-degree angle. This cutting-edge technology stimulates your skin’s natural ability to produce new collagen and elastin formation, encouraging your skin to look and feel healthier.
The SkinPen Advantage Is:
